Inside Cadanino...

SO the Volcano and Tropical storms were bad enough, but manageable. Sunday as I entered Church Vilma told me that Jose was assassinated on Thursday. I knew he had started a new job that I thought was truck driving. Apparently, he was actually working as a bus driver and was executed with four shots at point blank range. Likely a message to the owner of the bus company. That is the only theory at present. The boys and all the folks at the orphanage are devastated. I took the boys for ice cream no Sunday and it was not easy getting there because my usual route was closed.

Never ever victimize the victim. Having said that, bus driving is the most dangerous job in this country. We plan to do something for his young widow and 4 year old son.
More complications on that front that I won't even post in this semi-private forum. I had wanted to do something on Facebook, but refrained because of the well known dangers surrounding this country.

I knew him fairly well. I stayed at the home in the spring of '09 for almost two months and he was there almost everyday. When the lady in the boys home went away for the weekend he stayed with us and we spent a good deal of time together.... He was a very nice guy. Soft spoken and hard working. RIP and prayers for the family
